Sofia Buhrgard

I hold a Master of Science in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and have over 10 years of experience in physical and traffic planning. My background includes working both within municipal organizations and as a consultant, giving me a strong overall understanding of the industry and its various processes.

 

I started my own business to approach traffic planning from a broader perspective. It’s a sector undergoing major transformation and facing many challenges. None of these are purely engineering issues—they are equally tied to social sciences such as sociology, organizational theory, and psychology. I work to increase awareness and knowledge in traffic planning by organizing courses, webinars, and creating spaces for dialogue.

 

In addition, I take on traffic planning assignments with a specialization in traffic design. For example, I can assist with the design of complex traffic solutions during construction phases or cost-effective layouts for the reconstruction of existing streets
